Honor Band

Jefferson College will be hosting our annual High School Honor Band this year again on November 18th, 2023. This honor band is an opportunity for high school directors to nominate the top musicians from their schools to participate in a one-day workshop of rehearsals and masters classes which will culminate in an evening performance in the Jefferson College theater. Our music department welcomes Dr. Alexandra Zacharella, from University of Arkansas - Fort Smith, as our guest clinician. Dr. Zacharella is Director of Bands at University of Arkansas - Fort Smith. Also directing the ensemble will be Elke Overton, Associate Professor of Music and Director of the Jefferson College Wind Ensemble. The Honor Band Festival includes one rehearsal on Friday, November 10, and then a full day of rehearsals and master classes on Saturday, November 18.
