Political Science


The study of political science will prepare you to function as a citizen in your community, to serve as a government employee or elected official, or to become a teacher of civics or government. In addition, it will develop your understanding of the role of government in everyday life, business and world events.

Did you know employment of political scientists is projected to grow 21% from 2012 to 2022, faster than the average for all occupations. However, because it is a small occupation, the fast growth will result in only about 1,400 new jobs over the 10-year period.
