Commencement Information and RSVP for 2024 Ceremonies

• Saturday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Fall 2023, Spring 2024, and Summer 2024 graduates are invited to participate! Be sure you have applied for graduation to be eligible to RSVP.

• The ceremonies will be held in the Jefferson College Hillsboro Campus Field House and be live-streamed on YouTube. Check back for links after May 1st.
• The number of guests per candidate for graduation is not limited and tickets will not be required. 
• Candidates for graduation will need to RSVP to participate in the ceremony of their choice. The number of participants at each ceremony will be limited. You will need to reserve your seat by May 1st.

Step 1: Applying for Graduation

If you plan to complete your certificate or degree in Fall 2023, Spring 2024 or Summer 2024, be sure to apply for graduation if you have not already done so. Your eligibility for graduation will be reviewed and you will receive an eligibility letter regarding necessary classes, GPA and exit exam information. Click here to apply for graduation.

Step 2: Order Your Cap and Gown by March 15th!

Only candidates eligible to graduate should complete this online cap and gown order form.  When ordering, you will choose either the Hillsboro Bookstore or Arnold front counter pick-up location in the drop down menu. You will also choose either a 2023 (for fall 2023 grads) or a 2024 (for spring and summer 2024 grads) charm for your tassel. Cap and gown pick up will begin April 15th at the location you choose.  The deadline to order your cap and gown is March 15th. There will be no charges for your cap and gown as it is covered by your graduation fee. There are additional keepsake items you may purchase on the online cap and gown order form. 

Cap and gown pick-up will be available beginning April 15th. You will need to pre-order your cap and gown. Graduates should wear only approved graduation apparel. See the graduation apparel webpage for a complete listing of approved apparel.  Graduates are allowed to decorate their caps, however any decoration deemed inappropriate by college staff will require replacement with a plain cap on the day of Commencement. 

Step 3: Sign Up For a Commencement Ceremony - RSVP Now Open!

Jefferson College will host two 2024 Commencement ceremonies in the Jefferson College Hillsboro Campus Field House. Candidates for Fall 2023, Spring 2024 and Summer 2024 graduation are encouraged to participate in the ceremony of their choice.  Please RSVP for a ceremony by May 1st to ensure your name is in the commencement program. Any late RSVP may allow for Commencement participation, however your name will not appear in the Commencement program. Guests are not limited in number and do not require tickets.

Commencement Day - Live Stream and Photography

Both ceremonies will be live-streamed via the links below. Videos of the ceremonies will be posted the following week for future viewing.

Live Stream Links will be available after May 1st. 

Professional Photographers (Grad Images) will take photos of graduates on and off the stage. Information regarding how to order photos will be available on the Commencement webpage after the ceremonies. You will also receive Grad Images order information in your commencement program.

General Information
Ceremonies will be held in the Jefferson College Hillsboro Campus Field House.
The Early Childhood Center has agreed to provide free childcare for Commencement workers/participants. If you are interested, please contact Stephanie Cage at ext. 3298 or scage@hotelparacaes.net by May 10th.
